First ever C4 meetup!

I don't have all of the logistics worked out yet but I think I will, tentatively, plan on our meetups being the first Saturday of the month and we'll start in December.  So that'll be Saturday December 7th, 2024.  Probably at noon. 

Why so far away?  Well since absolutely no one knows about this thing yet it'll take time to get the word out.

I am planning on utilizing a room in the downtown library.  That's the Cleveland Public Library at 325 Superior.  I can book a room that says it'll hold 30+ people although I doubt that many people will show up we're going to need space for computers

But I can't tell what these rooms look like as they don't include any photos on their web site so I'm going to have a make a trip down there and talk with someone and have them show me.  I want to make sure it's not in an area where we're expected to be quiet (we don't want librarians shushing us)

I'm not sure yet how long the meeting will last, I suppose I'll just book a good sized time slot and anyone can just leave whenever they want.  For that matter show up whenever you want too.  Don't feel like you have to be "on time" as long as it's during our room's time window that's fine.  Come at 1 and stay for 5 minutes, come at 12 and stay for the whole thing, it's all good.

I am open to ideas on what we should do, obviously there will be basic admin stuff such as getting us into the discord channel and this forum and maybe talk about the BBS for a bit.  But other than that I thought just keep it really informal and I expect we'll play some games and just generally chat about vintage tech.

If you think you want to attend please respond to this post and if you have any suggestions on what we might do or what you'd like to see then include that in your response.  Also if you want to bring something to show off, talk about, or if you have anything you want to sell, go ahead and include that in your response as well.
